아빠; 이번 추수감사절에 얼굴볼까 아님 약속대로 알라스카 여행갈까? 

아들; 아빠,, 추수감사절에 근무해야하고 년말에도 근무 계획이 정해졌는데,,

아빠; 헐,, 우짜라구? 우리 1년에 한번 같이 여행하기로 햇자나,,

아들; 추수감사절 전에 보면 안될까? 

아빠; 그러자,, 그거라도 고맙게 받아들여야지.

아들; 아빠 미국으로 돌아오면 그때 여행가면 대자나.

아빠; 그려,,, 고맙다 고마워,,


겨우 겨우 하룻밤 함께 지내는걸로 합의 봤습니다.

추수감사절도 아니고 그전전날에,,

이거 머,, 누가 애빈지 원,,

할수없이 그날을 기점으로 휴가 계획을 세우고 오랫만에 여행 계힉을 세워봅니다.


아들과의 알라스카 여행은 접기로하고,,

다음으로 미루어야 겠습니다,, 근데 이러다가 아들과의 함께하는 알라스카 여행은 계획으로만 끝나는게 아닌지 모르겠습니다.

그래도 끝까지 졸라봐야 것습니다.

아들과 함께한 연평 폭격이 끝난 직후 함께간 연평도와 일본 여행 그리고 동남아 여행이 아직도 눈앞에 어른거리는데,,,


이번 여행 스케쥴입니다. 지켜질런진 모르지만,,

단지 리스트일뿐 정해진 목적지는 아닙니다.



Devils Postpile

Established in 1911 by presidential proclamation, Devils Postpile National Monument protects and preserves the Devils Postpile formation, the 101-foot high Rainbow Falls, and pristine mountain scenery. The formation is a rare sight in the geologic world and ranks as one of the world's finest examples of columnar basalt. Its columns tower 60 feet high and display an unusual symmetry.

America's only Nobel Prize winning playwright, Eugene O'Neill, chose to live in Northern California at the height of his writing career. Isolated from the world and within the walls of his home, O'Neill wrote his final and most memorable plays; The Iceman Cometh, Long Day's Journey Into Night, and A Moon for the Misbegotten.

Juan Bautista de Anza

Nogales, AZ to San Francisco, CA, AZ,CA

"¡Vayan Subiendo!"("Everyone mount up!") was the rousing call from Juan Bautista de Anza. In 1775-76, he led some 240 men, women, and children on an epic journey to establish the first non-Native settlement at San Francisco Bay. Today, the 1,200-mile Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail connects history, culture, and outdoor recreation from Nogales, Arizona, to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Pony Express

It is hard to believe that young men once rode horses to carry mail from Missouri to California in the unprecedented time of only 10 days. This relay system along the Pony Express National Historic Trail in eight states was the most direct and practical means of east-west communications before the telegraph.

Port Chicago Naval Magazine

Concord Naval Weapons Station, CA

On the evening of July 17, 1944, residents in the San Francisco east bay area were jolted awake by a massive explosion that cracked windows and lit up the night sky. At Port Chicago Naval Magazine, 320 men were instantly killed when two ships being loaded with ammunition for the Pacific theater troops blew up. It was WWII's worst home front disaster.
